My Private Practice
I work as a psychotherapist and counsellor with people who seek help for a wide range of difficulties. People come for all kinds of reasons including childhood or adult trauma, work or relationship problems, problems with eating, low self-esteem, feelings of isolation/unhappiness, major loss or loss of meaning, major life changes, problems with coping, anxiety or anger amongst other things. Typically we would spend the first few sessions getting to know each other before undertaking to work together. This is also an opportunity for you to see how I work.
I see both individuals and couples in Clontarf, Co. Dublin and Drogheda, Co. Louth. My rates depend on the location of my practice, and whether it is couples counselling you are seeking or individual counselling.
I also offer online counselling for people for whom it might be difficult to attend counselling in person. You can find our more about it here

Psychotherapy and counselling around about change. As we work on trying to bring about changes in ourselves, our world also begins to change. We can all have an ambivalent relationship with change. Part of us may want it, and there may another part that's fearful of change and resists it. This is natural. We fear the unknown. Our ability to change, to respond flexibly to life’s circumstances in adaptive and creative ways is a healthy way of being. Insight in psychotherapy can lead people to make changes in the only thing in the world over which they have any control: themselves.
So be the change you want to see happen instead of trying to change everyone else. Real change comes when we go within and do the work of inner transformation. Sometimes change and the process of change is not easy. The changes you make will make a difference to the people and the community around you. As we change, others around us can also begin to change.
'We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him'
